Due to an event happening at the school on the Saturday night we cannot allow you to stay over for Saturday night as well this year, as we have in the past.

SUPPORT VEHICLE:
A tail end Charlie quad bike will follow the last rider and will be able to carry out riders, but bikes may need to be recovered later. This vehicle will not have tools and probably won’t be able to assist with repairs unless No 8 wire can be used!
TRAFFIC:
Marshals will be in place on the 3 road crossings in the 50km ride, as these roads will be open to traffic. No cyclist will have to cross SH3, as we will be using underpasses for this. Please no spectator vehicles on the course.
RUBBISH: This ride is only possible thanks to the co-operation of many farmers in this district. Respect this private land and don’t drop rubbish. Tyre marks and dust are all you should leave behind.
ACCOMMODATION AND ATTRACTIONS:
If you are going to make a weekend adventure of our ride and explore this great district, and maybe do some kayaking, trout fishing, bush walking, garden rambling, tennis, golf, caving or visit the art trail, then we will have camping facilities (including hot showers) available at the schools. Or you can choose a little more luxury at a local home stay, the Piopio Hotel or the Waitomo Backpackers. You could also choose to stay at the Waitomo Lodge in Te Kuiti
