Some have more fun out on the
course than others

50km:
Starting at Piopio College the course heads south to link up with farm tracks that will take you over pristine farmland, through limestone pillars, along the Mangaotaki River Gorge out of which you rise to magnificent views over the King Country, including Mt Ruapehu and Mt Taranaki. (Riders climb 240m which is all rideable). With the biggest climb behind you, it’s now fast track down to the Mangaotaki bush, then following the Mangaotaki River track onto well tracked, undulating farmland for the last 12 kms, finishing back where you started! It’ll be a challenge – are you excited!! Start time 9.30am

37km:
A shorter ride but with scenery just as great as the 50k! Starts at 10am.

20km:
Not up to the 50 or 37km challenge? Then this scenic ride is for you. So dust off your bike and get ready for a great introduction to the fun of mountain biking in our beautiful countryside. Starts at 10am.

13km:
For the kid who is ready for a challenge and some fast riding on excellent farm tracks. Starts at 10.30 am

10km:
For the younger ones we’ve included this ride that’s a little easier, but still a challenge. Starts at 10.30 am.

When the sun beats down and the trail is steep, remember . . .
"It is a rough road that leads to the heights of greatness."
